Due to their nationwide roots in Spanish and United States imperialism, plus the following aftermath of rigorous surf of cultural colonisation, informed Filipinos are usually confused by what their unique sources are. To deliver necessary understanding toward continuous debate in what it means to get Filipino, this essay will link yesteryear to the present by tracing the advancement of, in addition to continuities in, the essence of Filipino social organisation and worldview, attracting frequent contrasting with Indonesian and Thai information.
